"I picture a meaningful visit in my practice as one where there’s space to breathe, think, and talk openly. We learn from each other, sometimes share laughter or tears, and together, build the trust that makes change possible. I always dreamed of being the kind of doctor who follows people for the long haul with a well-worn black doctor's bag, caring for families across seasons of life as if they were my own." -Dr. Caitlin St. Clair

Dr. Caitlin St. Clair

I am an osteopathic family physician who believes deeply in the body's capacity to heal when given the right support. My path began with an undergraduate degree in sports medicine at the University of Virginia, followed by clinical research at the University of Pennsylvania, medical training at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Family Medicine residency through the University of Wisconsin. During my residency, I also completed a 2 year integrative medicine tract.
My experiences caring for people across cultures and backgrounds, my training in yoga, and my roles as a daughter, partner, mother, and friend have shaped the way I listen — not only to symptoms, but to bodies, stories, and the spaces in between. I see health as dynamic and personal, shaped by our histories, nourishment, movement, relationships, community, and rest. I practice evidence-based medicine with curiosity and humility, with attention to what is practical and affordable.
I welcome patients of every background, identity, and stage of life. My role is to listen and learn what health means to you. Together we build a plan that respects your values, circumstances, and goals.
Outside the clinic, you’ll often find me outdoors with my husband, our two children, and our dog; tending our edible and medicinal gardens; running to the library, music class, or a fun event in Greenville with my family; sipping an interesting cup of tea while making a mess in the kitchen; and dreaming of time spent near the lake or ocean.

Frequently Asked Questions

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative healthcare model designed to enhance patient access and satisfaction. In DPC, patients opt to pay a straightforward monthly or annual membership fee directly to their primary care provider. This inclusive fee covers a wide range of primary care services, eliminating the need for insurance billing. By offering this transparent pricing structure, DPC aims to foster a more personal relationship between patients and their healthcare team, ultimately improving the overall quality of care and ensuring that patients receive timely and comprehensive services.

Direct Patient Care (DPC) practices do not submit bills to insurance companies for office visits. This model puts patients first by allowing for longer appointments, facilitating easier access to your physician, minimizing additional cost, and significantly reducing administrative and insurance hurdles to receiving care. Patients benefit from personalized attention and more meaningful interactions with their healthcare physician. Patients are happier in this model compared to the traditional fee-for-service system.

No. DPC focuses on affordable, insurance free primary care. It eliminates the frustrating parts of the traditional insurance-based system. DPC bypasses the insurance company which means no copays and no surprise bills. Concierge medicine adds a layer of luxury service for a high membership fee while billing insurance for your visits. In the concierge model, you are still responsible for copays, deductibles, and other costs dictated by your insurance for your primary care.

DPC works well for people who value a strong doctor-patient relationship, easy access to care, transparent pricing, preventive and whole-person care.

Most memberships include: Office visits (in-person or virtual), same-or next-day appointments, longer visits, secure messaging or phone access, preventive care and chronic disease management, many in-office procedures.

We do not bill insurance. We encourage patients to carry insurance for emergencies, hospitalizations, and specialty care. Fees associated with auxiliary procedures, laboratory work (not covered by membership), specialty referral costs, medicine, or durable medical equipment may qualify for reimbursement or inclusion under individual insurance plans, medical cost sharing plans, or paid through HSA accounts. It is the patient's responsibility to determine eligibility or submission of any claims.

Some services may have additional costs, such as: medications and lab tests (often discounted), imaging, supplies or specialized procedures. All pricing is transparent and discussed in advance. These costs are lower than traditional billing models due to lack of overhead and administrative fees.

Billing is automatic monthly and can be deducted from you bank account or billed on a credit card.

In many cases, yes. HSA/FSA eligibility depends on your specific plan and current IRS guidelines. Please consult with a tax professional regarding the new changes in 2026.

We are available by phone after hours and weekends. For medical issues that need to be seen, we are available after hours. For some issues which are life threatening, we might refer to the Emergency department.
